On February 25, 2008, four Greenpeace activists climbed on top of a British Airways Boeing 777 at London Heathrow, unfolding a large banner which read: 'Climate Emergency-No Third Runway' (Debrief, June 2008). Although the four protesters were quickly removed, the question remains as to how the aviation industry can address rising concerns about its impact on the climate.
