As a testament to the lifestyles, values and preoccupations of women today, Annie Leibovitz's exhibition "Women," showcases revealing portraits of females from all walks of life in America. The 50-plus portraits in the ICP exhibit are drawn from a book also called Women, published by Random House in 1999. Receiving much public attention and praise, the book contains more than 100 of Leibovitz's portraits, as well as an essay by novelist and critic Susan Sontag. The exhibit and the book contain insightful biographies of each woman.
