Telecom hardware vendor Alcatel NYSE:ALA has finalized a deal to acquire Canadian developer iMagic TV Nasdaq:IMTV for approximately ＄30 million.Alcatel already owned 16 percent of iMagic TV.The company develops software for the provision of multi-channel TV and interactive video services over broadband networks,including DSL,wireless and fiber to the home.In mid-January,iMagic TV released financial results indicating a net loss of ＄4.6 million (about 19 cents a share) for its third quarter.
