September 1967 marked the beginning of a new era in on-the-job training for the metal-stamping industry, as the American Metal Stamping Association (AMSA) launched its Press Operator, Die Setter, and Inspector training curriculums. AMSA served as the prime contractor, subcontracting a portion of each training program to the participating companies. The first subcontract was for Midwest Stamping Mfg. Co., Bowling Green, OH.
