摘要

This paper reports on a numerical study in which an array ofsurface mounted lead zirconate titanate and polyvinylidene fluoride sensors wasused for the detection of disbond under a repair patch. The two techniquesused for detecting these disbonds were an impedance method and the transferfunction method. It was found that an array of smart materials could locateand determine the extent of damage. The results also showed that thelocation and size of the sensor used are dependent on the location and sizeof the disbond to be detected or monitored.
