Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Wheeling, W.Va., announces that its Wheeling Corrugating Division will supply steel floor decking that will be used to rebuild the first building at the World Trade Center site in New York. Starting last month, Wheeling Corrugating will supply 1.4 million square feet of floor decking for 14 months. In other news, Wheeling-Pittsburgh has formally exited bankruptcy. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 2000. Baosteel, China's largest steel producer, has cut over its supply chain management since March. The system enables improved response to customer inquiry; improved delivery performance, reduced manufacturing lead times and controlled inventory levels.
