The October FlyPast contained an article by Denis Newton, which recounted the story of 3 Squadron Australian Flying Corps operations during World War One. By a strange quirk of fate this article appeared as I was preparing a family tribute to commemorate the service career of my grandfather Brig Sir Errol Galbraith Knox, who served as the Recording Officer with 3 Squadron AFC in Bailleul, France. This tribute was published in the November issue and we recently received an exciting response from a gentleman called David Crotty. David is a curator with Museum Victoria in Melbourne, Australia, who has been commissioned to write a book about John R Duigan.
