Sex-specific perventile growth charts for baby weight and crown-heel length of Punjabi infants (N=154) measured longitudinally at monthly age intervals arc presented. Factors considered responsible for the natural smooth course of the percentile curves are highlighted and discussed. The use of percentile grids has been recommended so as to screen children suffering from growth abnormalities.
