Electricity activates the electro-permanent magnets, providing the clamping power. Once the magnets are activated, the power source can be removed.For unclamping, electricity is applied again and an automatic, pulsating demagnetization cycle is applied to leave the magnet free of magnetic power, preventing sticking during die changeover.
