A new project has been proposed to the board of the International Iron and Steel Institute to demonstrate and communicate the capabilities of steel to meet society's demand for a safe, affordable and environmentally responsible range of vehiclesfor the 21st century The project extends the scope of the current automotive projects beyond the lightweighting developments in auto bodies, closures and suspensions.
