AbstractThis article comments on the Martin article on religiosity and suicide rates in the United States. Specifically, it is pointed out by the present author that Martin's data do not allow him to draw the conclusions that he offered in his article. A correlational study does not allow for cause and effect conclusions, and the use of group data precludes conclusions about individual cases.
