YCI, Inc., Santa Fe Springs, CA, has introduced the TCV-51T vertical machining center. Equipped with an Isolated Direct Drive spindle design for less vibration, lower noise and temperature and improved spindle life and accuracy, the machining center features a 7.5-hp AC digital drive that provides a spindle speed of 12,000 rpm. It also features an auto pallet changer driven by a servomotor and high-speed rotary mechanism, which makes one cycle of pallet change in 4 sec.Feed rate is 1890 in./min. for all three axes. With servomotors directly coupled to the ballscrews, backlash and ballscrew temperature is minimized. X-axis travel is 20 in., Y-axis travel is 12.6 in. and Z-axis is 11.8 in. Table size is 25.60 by 14.37 in. with a load capacity of 150 lb.
