Nanjing—BASF-YPC, a 50-50 joint venture of BASF and Sinopec, will expand propionic acid production capacity at its state-of-the-art Verbund site in Nanjing, China. The expansion, planned to come on stream in 2019, will increase propionic capacity at the site by 30,000 t/y to a total of 69,000 t/y. Cost of the project was not given.
