What makes Target a successful business? There are a number of reasons. I think the number one reason is the unique blend of product that the retailer offers to its customers. The company has differentiated themselves from other retailers by adding designer products. A number of famous designers have signed on with Target for selling their goods through the Target stores. How many stores have the ability to provide a shopper with the choices of a designer leather jacket, Tupperware, milk and a birthday card all in one trip? Target has also maintained a professional web site that has seen increased sales growth since it went live. The Target signature Visa card has also proved successful with pulling in money for local schools. The Super Target stores carry groceries, as well as the usual Target products.
