SMS Demag is to supply three new blast furnaces to ThyssenKrupp Stahl's Beeckerwerth works in Germany.The first, incorporating a lamella suspension system to reduce the cost of maintenance, is designated 165t BOF and will be installed in October this year. The other two furnaces will be supplied at staggered intervals over the next 16 months.
