Go to a pharmacy to pick up your prescription pills and there's a good chance you'll be looking at a vial label converted by Rx Systems, Inc. of St. Charles, MO. The 18-year-old company specializes in converting items used by thousands of pharmacies all over the country. Rx primarily produces pill cards, filled by pharmacies for use by nursing homes and other institutions, and prescription labels. Rx Systems also makes and prints the bags in which pharmacy customers carry home their orders. But all the equipment the company uses today to satisfy its 15,000 customers' needs didn't always exist. Rx worked closely with Allied Gear and Machine Co., Inc. to develop specialized narrow-web press capabilities.
