"This is my story, this is my song..." Depending on how you grew up, you may remember that chorus line. Did you know that the name of the song (hymn, actually) is "Blessed Assurance" (or "Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine"), that it was written by Fanny J. Crosby, and that the tune, "Assurance," was written by Phoebe Palmer Knapp? I didn't--but when I realized that the line was a perfect introduction to this set of reviews, it took only a few seconds to find out from the first CD-ROM reviewed here. I could also listen to the tune in four-part harmony, played properly (though with no sense of rhythm or life) on my PC as I looked at the lyrics--and I could click on a scriptural reference to see the related text in the King James Version Bible. The first disc here offers the songs. The second gives you The Book--one of the newest versions of the Bible, with quite a bit of added material. I compare that with a
