Mark Erickson grew up on the iron range-taconite mining was the industry of choice in his hometown of Hoyt Lakes, MN, north of Duluth. He worked many a summer job at the mines, paying his way through college to earn his accounting degree from Mankato State University (now Minnesota State University - Mankato). Out of college, he went to work for a large CPA firm, and then moved on to a retail-distribution business.Erickson's career at Thomas Engineering Company began in 1983 when he came on board as controller. TEC designs and manufactures precision stampings through facilities in Minneapolis, MN, and Santa Teresa, NM. It specializes in microminiature to medium-sized parts, and promotes itself as a leader in thin slotting and tight-tolerance work.
