In the first 18 months of operation, the RD-KTB unit clearly demonstrated 1 capability to produce ULC steels to the required composition. The equipment has met its design criteria. The increase in secondary steelmaking capacity has improved the flexibility of the steel plant and played a signifies part in increased productivity and operational improvements.
