On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the CAS Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC), CAS President Lu Yongxiang made an inspection tour to the institute on Oct. 21. Accompanied by GIEC Director Chen Yong, Lu visited the Demonstration Quarter for New Energy Sources in the Innovation Park, which was recently set up by GIEC, and the new research and pop-science buildings. He also held discussions with GIEC researchers on issues of the development of biomass, microscale energy systems, and energy strategies.
