A platinum resistance sensor can be used in conjunction with a resistance bridge to generate an error signal that is proportional to the difference between the actual and desired temperatures. The magnitude of the error signal, 0.4 mVsol;deg;C, is 10 times that generated by a Chromelhyphen;Alumel thermocouple.
