AbstractThe polymerization ofN‐vinylcaprolactam in toluene, dioxane, chlorobenzene, dimethylformamide, and ethylene carbonate with various peroxides, perbenzoates and azobisisobutyronitrile as initiators at 60–80°C, was studied. Under these conditions azobisisobutyronitrile andtert‐butyl perbenzoate have satisfactory activity as initiators.
