AbstractVECTOR is a Fortran 77 program that enables SURFER or GRAPHER to rapidly convert a two‐dimensional field of vectors into graphical form. SURFER and GRAPHER are both DOS format commercial graphics packages. The resulting graphical output can be plotted on‐screen or as hardcopy. Vector arrows and the size of the plot can be either manually or automatically scaled. For input, VECTOR requires only four pieces of data for each point: the x and y coordinates of the point and the x and y components of the vector's magnitude.
