An improved high pressure conductivity cell which eliminates cracking at the glasshyphen;tohyphen;electrode seal and which transmits pressure to the liquid in the cell in a unique manner is described in detail. Conductivity measurements on a 0.01 demal aqueous KCl solution show that the cell is reliable up to at least 3000 bar.
