摘要

In a perfect system, the amplitude of a sinusoidal signal superimposed on a constant background can be determined from Hadamard sums. The simple computation described here allows us to correct a quadratic nonlinearity in the signal detection. Using this procedure, a commercial rotatinghyphen;polarizer ellipsometer could be safely operated with signal levels increased by a factor of 15.
