A 3-month-old girl was referred to our pediatric intensive care unit with a scorpion sting and convulsions. Cranial CT, MRI, biochmical parametres and complete blood count were normal. EEG revealed epileptiform activity. Scorpion stings is an important health problem in child age regarding to morbidity and mortality. In this paper we aimed to investigate convulsions as a rare complication of scorpion stings, which are very frequent in the summer season.
