A fter a record export growth of 24 in November 06, exports in December 06 and January 07 have posted significant declines. In December, exports grew at a paltry 4.3 at US$1.5 billion, while January posted an actual decline of 2.2 at $ 1.2 billion. For the first seven months of FY 06-07 (July-January), total exports were recorded at $9.6 billion which is a good 6.5 behind the proportionate target of $10.3 billion, though it is 4 higher than in the same seven months of last year. But this is not enough to achieve the target of $18.6 billion for the whole year to June 07.
