The European Information Technology Observatory 2007 (EITO) believes that the Swedish information and communications technology (ICT) market grew by 2.5 in 2006, compared with an increase of 3.1 in 2005, to reach ?22,089 million. Growth is expected to have decreased slightly in 2007, when the market is set to expand by 2.2 to ?22,566 million, and for 2008, when growth of 2.8 is expected and the market will reach ?23,195 million. Due to the increasing convergence between the telecommunications and IT markets, it is no longer possible to accurately distinguish between the two, notably in the equipment market.
