摘要

Direct numerical simulations (DNS) are conducted of a preheatedplanar methane jet diffusion flame for various flow conditions. Thefuel stream is a mixture of methane and nitrogen, and the oxidizerstream is air. The chemistry is modeled via the 1-step globalmechanism of Bhui-Pham (1992). The flame behavior is assessed forvarious oxidizer stream temperatures, fuel stream velocities andnitro- gen dilutions of the fuel stream.
