The French-German joint venture Vallourec Mannesmann Tubes has completed the upgrade of its Saint Saulve steelworks, which stands adjacent to Vallourec's existing tube manufacturing facility. This plant produces seamless, hot-rolled steel tubes in hundreds of grades for the joint venture; together will similar operations in Duisburg-Huckingen in Germany (30 per cent stake) and Belo Horizonte in Brazil.
