The crimp in the textured yarn can be varied by changing different parameters. In this study, textured yarns were produced by varying primary heater temperature. The fabrics were produced by using these yarns as weft and effect of yarn crimp on fabric width shrinkage and thickness was studied. It was found that there is a good correlation between textured yarn crimp and fabric width shrinkage.
