Both metallising and CAD have narrowed the gap between design and technology in textile design. An in-depth cooperation between textile design and computing technology will widen the scope for metallic textile innovation in the future. The metallised textiles combined with digital technology is significant for the development of new apparel effects. The conjunction of metallising and CAD offers much room and benefits for the development of textile products. Furthermore, studying the integration of metallic fabric design with digital technology should not be restricted to the prototype stages or one-off production runs, but also demonstrate a perspective in accelerating textile industrialisation.
