In 2010, Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences engaged artist Lee Boot and the Imaging Research Center (IRC) at University of Maryland, Baltimore County to create an installation that would engage an audience in thinking about intuition and decisionmaking. The end result was an interactive multimedia installation based on the research team's findings concerning the neural basis of intuitive insight. The installation titled seeintuit was first exhibited on the National Mall in October 2010 and continues to be an imaging research tool for the IRC.
