As a kid, I spent many summers bathing at the pristine beaches of the Netherland Antilles - namely Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao (the ABC islands). At just 6 years old, I recall the airline's grandiose MD-11 passing low on top of Aruba's Palm Beach to then perform a majestic left turn into the Happy Island airport's runway. Since then, I dreamed of flying "that beautiful blue bird" which I knew, sooner or later, would take me to Amsterdam (AMS).
