Balluff, Florence, KY, brings three-prox functionality into a single M18 tubular housing with its new triple-switchpoint Ultralinear analog inductive proximity sensor. The flexible triple-switchpoint analog prox provides three programmable switchpoints that can be set up anywhere along its 1- to 5-mm sensing range, providing three distinct on/off switching windows. Each switchpoint has a dedicated output line and output-on LFD display to alert control when the target is within the operating window. The self-contained sensors eliminate the need for separate external analog switching devices and are ideal for process control and part identification in flexible manufacturing applications such as sorting parts by height or material.
