A coaxial flashlamphyphen;pumped liquid dye laser is described having an output of 6.82 J with Rhodamine 6 G and 4.18 J with 7hyphen;diethylaminohyphen;4hyphen;methylcomarin. Outputs for treated and untreated dyes as well as geometries giving Gaussian and multimode output are compared.
