Pollen calendars for the most important Greek cities Athens and Thessaloniki, have been determined. The aerobiological sampling was done by two seven day volumetric pollen traps, V.P.P.S 2.000, for the period 1986#x2013;90 in Thessaloniki and 1987#x2013;90 in Athens. The period of pollen incidence and the peaks of the major allergenic pollen grains are discussed. Patients from both cities have been submitted to an allergologic screening in order to establish the principal causes of pollinosis.
