Computer simulations are used to demonstrate the feasibility of operating a low-order adaptive optics system for observation of bright low-earth orbiting satellites during daylight hours. The system considered includes speckle postprocessing of partially compensated focal plane images to produce reconstructions with resolution near the deffraction limit of the telescope. # 1997 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engi-nears.
