The Goat's Head suspension subassembly on Bloodhound (see p72) presented particular problems for the team at the Nuclear AMRC. Bloodhound supplied the CAD drawings for the components the AMRC was to produce. The geometry of the finished parts that made up the Goat's Head had few flat surfaces, deep pockets with small radii, deep bores, bosses and counterbores, which meant that holding the parts would be a major challenge.
