The frequency and temperature dependences of pyroelectric activity in poly(vinylidene fluoride) have been studied from 10 to 369thinsp;deg;K using mechanically chopped and steadyhyphen;state radiation. From these data, thermal diffusivity and a parameter indicating the polarization inhomogeneity can be deduced and compared with a mathematical model.
