The crystallization behaviour of near stoichiometricfluorrichterite glasses with different ion substitutions for sodiumwas investigated to determine the possibility and conditions offormation of the different fuorrichterite phases. The mechanisms ofcrystallization and fluoramphibole formation in the differentinvestigated glasses are given and discussed. Beside the conventionalglass preparation and heat-treatment methods, different otherTechniques were used including DTA, XRD, polarizing and scanningelectron microscopy.
