摘要

It has been shown, that polymeric silicones are excellentprecursors for highly reactive amorphous silica, which in combinationwith suitable filler compounds may constitute oxide/silicate ceramicswith near-net shape potential. Complex Shaped parts can be realizedwhen utilizing appropriate 2-component systems, enabling high fillerloadings, sufficiently low viscosity and setting temperature.Suitable polymers are based on vinyl-functionalized systems, allowingfiller loadings up to 50 vol and yielding paste-like or moldablecompounds with setting temperatures as low as 25 deg C.
