The carbonhyphen;metalhyphen;carbon bending fundamentals of several metal carbonyls have been determined by the analysis of their combinations with the carbonyl stretching frequencies near 5 mgr; and by direct observation in the far infrared (60ndash;120 cmmdash;1). The following vaporhyphen;phase frequencies were obtained (in cmmdash;1): Fe(CO)5: 104 (A2Prime;), 114 and sim;68 (Eprime;), 95 (EPrime;); Ni(CO)4: 74 (F2), 68 (E); Cr(CO)6: 98 (F1u), 90 (F2g); Mo(CO)6: 81 (F1u), 81 (F2g); W(CO)6: 81 (F1u), 83 (F2g).
