Vacuum xhyphen;ray diodes with mgr;mhyphen;thick filters have been developed to measure specific xhyphen;ray line emissions from plasmas imploded by megampere driving currents. Detectorndash;filter combinations are presented for argonLhyphen;shell radiation (0.25ndash;0.46 keV), for the 0.92hyphen;keV neon Hehyphen;agr; line, and for the 1.13hyphen;keV sodium Hehyphen;agr; line. For example, a power of 50 GW is measured in the neon Hehyphen;agr; line.
