Combined EIA crude and product inventories decreased over the week ending Dec. 4 by 1.7MM bbl to 711.2MM bbl. Crude oil inventories dropped 6.1MM bbl to 385.3MM bbl, against analysts' expectations of a small build and despite a 91K-b/d rise in imports to 7.75MM b/d. The decrease was the first stockdraw in 11 weeks. Also, crude stocks held at the NYMEX WTI delivery point of Cushing, Oklahoma fell 18K bbl to 40.6MM bbl.
