Zerohyphen;phonon lines in the absorption and excitation spectra of Ominus;2in molecules in NaCl crystals at 2thinsp;deg;K have been measured. The calculated spectroscopic constants for the first excited state2Pgr;uof Ominus;2were used to construct potential energy curves, which are compared with recent theoretical calculations.
