A $20/mt day-on-day rise in the Asian benzene price was recorded on Aug. 2 on the back of higher Brent prices and stronger US prices. Asian benzene was seen at $l,170/mt after Brent crude rose $1.29/bbl to $106.30/bbl and US benzene prices jumped $14.97/mt to $l,405/mt. In Europe, the benzene price fell $7/mt and settled at $l,305.50/mt.
