摘要

The optical irradiance scintillation for an extended source and a dual-aperture system with variable aperture separation is analyzed with respect to the effect of turbulence. The scintillation index and the correlation between the dual-aperture signals emanating from an extended source are used to study the turbulence spectral model and the deviation from the common Kolmogorov atmospheric weak-turbulence model. Signal decorrelation as a function of aperture separation is presented. The relative errors introduced by using dual-aperture systems are also discussed.
