The groundhyphen;state rotational spectra of the six isotopomers14N15Nsdot;sdot;sdot;H79Br,15N14Nsdot;sdot;sdot;H79Br,15N2sdot;sdot;sdot;H79Br,15N2sdot;sdot;sdot;H81Br,15N2sdot;sdot;sdot;D79Br, and15N2sdot;sdot;sdot;D81Br of a weakly bound dimer formed between nitrogen and hydrogen bromide have been detected by pulsedhyphen;nozzle, Fourierhyphen;transform microwave spectroscopy. The spectroscopic constantsB0,DJ, khgr;(14N), khgr;(Br), andMbb(Br) have been determined from analyses of the spectra and for the species15N14Nsdot;sdot;sdot;H79Br take the values 1163.2477(5) MHz, 4.517(17) kHz, minus;4.302(7) MHz, 373.338(13) MHz, and minus;1.9(5) kHz, respectively. The khgr;(14N) and khgr;(Br) values have been corrected for the electrical contribution from the neighboring HBr and N2subunits, respectively, with the aid of a simple electrostatic model and the corrected values used to determine the oscillation angles agr;av=cosminus;1lang;cos2thinsp;agr;rang;1/2=20.05deg; and bgr;av=cosminus;1lang;cos2thinsp;bgr;rang; =25.45deg; for the N2and HBr subunits. The valuer(Nsdot;sdot;sdot;Br) =3.9474(2) Aring; has been established for the isotopomers containing H while the corresponding value is 3.9458 Aring; for Dhyphen;containing species. The ratio bgr;Hav/bgr;Davis discussed in terms of a simple model of the zerohyphen;point oscillations of the HBr and DBr subunits.
