Sun Chemical hopes an award-winning print technology for flexible packaging will reap the benefits of the industry's drive for environmental improvement. The firm's WetFlex system, which won the environmental innovation prize at the Flexotech International awards, does not use inter-station drying or UV curing, as is the case in UV flexo printing. Inks are cured at the end of the press using an electron beam.
